Spend your summer discovering new activities, having new experiences and learning along the way in our hands-on, activity based camps. Each camp offers a unique learn & play opportunity for your child.

Our summer program consists of half day, week-long camps centered around various areas of interest. Each camp is activity based, where students have the opportunity to work within different areas and integrate math, science and art into projects and activities. Most importantly, campers will make new friends, learn, and HAVE FUN! Register early to ensure your spot!

Families can add a lunch hour, 12-1pm for an additional $30 for the week (meal is not included>

REGISTRATION

  • Payment is due at the time of registration. Once your registration is processed, you will receive an invoice through email within 24 hours. Registration is complete once payment is received.
  • Camp sessions are limited to 10-12 students depending on the camp.
  • Unless otherwise noted, our camp sessions will take place at our local office.

CAMP CANCELLATION

  • Camps that do not receive sufficient registration will be cancelled mid-June.
  • If a camp session is cancelled, you will be notified and a full refund will be issued.

REFUNDS

  • Cancellations received two weeks (14 days) prior to the start of the camp session will receive a full refund. You must contact our office at 509.593.8338 or [email protected] to cancel and receive a full refund.
  • NO REFUND will be issued for cancellations received less than 14 days prior to the start of the camp session.

CAMP REMINDERS

  • Parents or a designated adult must sign each child in/out each day.
  • Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before the start of camp. Students must be signed in by a parent or other adult. You will need to come to the office to sign your child in each day.
  • Please pick up your child no later than 10 minutes after camp ends. Students must be signed out to a parent. You will need to come to the office to retrieve your child.
  • Students are expected to behave in a non-disruptive manner and comply with the directions of camp leaders during camp sessions and while in the care of the camp counselors. If this expectation is not met, students may be asked not to return to camp, with no refund.
  • Students should bring a water bottle and a small snack to camp sessions. A short 10 minute snack/bathroom break will be designated during camp. Snacks must be quick and easy, there will be no refrigerator or microwave available.
  • Cell phones must be off and put away during camp sessions.
  • It is suggested that your child bring a small backpack containing all of their items. Students are responsible for keeping track of their belongings.

JUNE 17-21 Camp Sessions (click here)

MATTER & MATERIALS, 9AM-12PM

DESCRIPTION: Our world is made up of materials that interact in different ways. Students will learn about different types of materials (solid, liquid, gas) and how different materials will interact with each other. Our activities will explore density, pressure, and how matter can change form. Students will use different materials to make putty/playdough and a ‘lava lamp’ to take home. Materials included.

ROBOTICS SESSION 1, 1PM-4PM

DESCRIPTION: During this camp, students will work with basic coding to complete tasks with robots. We will use LEGO Robotics to learn new skills each day. At the end of the week, they will work with a small team to create a robot to compete in tasks in our Robotics Competition and Battle-bots event on Friday. Students will need to bring an iPad with the capability to download the Lego Robotics coding app.

JUNE 24-28 Camp Sessions (click here)

BUILDERS, 9AM-12PM CANCELLED DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT

DESCRIPTION: Our builders will use the tools of scale drawing, measurement and planning to plan and build a bird house. Each day will focus on a different part of the planning ans building process. Students will create a unique bird house to take home. Materials included.

EXPLORERS: ANCIENT EGYPT, 1PM-4PM

DESCRIPTION: Join us on an exploration of Ancient Egypt. We will learn about daily life, how people lived, what they ate, the structure of their society, Egyptian writing and math, Egyptian art and buildings, as well as their contributions to our lives today. The week will end with an Egyptian celebration showcasing what was learned about Ancient Egypt.

GAMES, GAMES, GAMES, 9AM-12PM CANCELLED DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT

DESCRIPTION: Game on! In addition to being LOADS of FUN, board games are great for your brain! Game play improves social skills, critical thinking skills and reasoning, strategy, and improve cognitive flexibility and concentration. This camp will include card games, board games, strategy games, and games of chance. In addition to learning to play loads of classic games, students will learn about probability and then create their own game. Camper Created games will be shared with peers and parents after playing many different games throughout the week.

TOWER POWER, 1PM-4PM CANCELLED DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT

DESCRIPTION: Architects and engineers are important parts of the process to build towers that are sturdy and can withstand the elements. Campers will learn about structures, design, and materials to create their own towers using different materials and design structure.Do you think you could create a sturdy tower out of spaghetti noodles, toothpicks, or newspaper? Join us to learn how!

EXPLORING ELECTRICITY, 9AM-12PM CANCELLED DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT

DESCRIPTION: During this camp, your future electricians will learn about a circuit and how it works. We will learn and use the basics of circuits to create electrical systems that will work. Campers will use batteries and renewable energy to complete tasks and projects.

CITY-SCAPES (PERIMETER-AREA-VOLUME), 1PM-4PM

DESCRIPTION: Campers will act as city planners to create their own 3D city. Our city-scapes camp will focus on geometry, measurement, and calculations. Depending on their readiness level, students will use 2D and 3D shapes, find length/width/height, area, volume, distance, and/or scale and proportions. Campers will have an opportunity to create their city as basic or complicated as they are prepared for at their individual level.

LAUNCHERS, 9AM-12PM CANCELLED DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT

DESCRIPTION: Does your child like to fling things across the room? Our young engineers will learn the science behind launching items from one place to another. They will learn different methods to launch items from one place to another in order to knock down towers and hit a target. They will select their favorite launcher to create for the launch competition on Friday.

SEW MUCH FUN! 9AM-12PM CANCELLED DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT

DESCRIPTION: Does your child want to learn how to sew? Students will learn how to sew by hand and with a machine. They will use different sewing techniques in small projects throughout the week. By the end of the week, they will know how to thread their needle, start and end hand stitching, patch a hole, mend a tear, and hem clothing. They will complete several projects to take home during the week.

MATH & ART 1PM-4PM CANCELLED DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT

DESCRIPTION: Math meets Art in this glorious camp. Students will learn about techniques of tessellations (MC Escher), symmetry, Sierpenski triangle, coordinate grids and connecting points in different formations to create beautiful pieces of artwork. Their creative minds will be inspired through this connection between math and art.

AUGUST 26-30 Camp Sessions

JUMP START, Incoming 3rd-5th graders, 9AM-11AM

DESCRIPTION: This jump start program is designed to help your child prepare for the school starting in the fall. We will review core grade level topics and operations, show students how concepts work together and get them back into the groove of learning math. At this level, there will be a heavy focus on multi-digit addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, multiplication and division facts, fractions and understanding word problems.

COST: $100

JUMP START, Incoming High School students, 11AM-1PM

DESCRIPTION: This jump start program is designed to help your child prepare for the school starting in the fall. We will review core grade level topics and operations, show students how concepts work together and get them back into the groove of learning math. At this level, there will be a heavy focus on algebra concepts, working with numbers (specifically fractions), linear equations, and solving word problems.

COST: $100

JUMP START, Incoming 6th-8th graders, 1PM-3PM

DESCRIPTION: This jump start program is designed to help your child prepare for the school starting in the fall. We will review core grade level topics and operations, show students how concepts work together and get them back into the groove of learning math. At this level, there will be a heavy focus on multi-digit multiplication, division, multiplication and division facts, fractions, beginning algebra concepts, and understanding word problems.
